TEAM Day 2018 again a huge success

TEAM by SACMI highly satisfied with the feedback to TEAM Day 2018 held in connection with CERAMITEC exhibition in Munich

More than 100 customers and friends attended TEAM Day 2018 in best weather at Paulaner am Nockherberg in Munich. The members of TEAM by Sacmi: Laeis, Riedhammer, Sama, Alpha Ceramics and Sacmi Imola had provided for an interesting and diversified program like they had also at the previous Ceramitec fairs.

The topics concerning technical ceramics spanned a wide range:

  • Ceramic manufacturing in the era of industry 4.0 (Sacmi, Italy)

  • Challenges when sintering transparent ceramics (FGK, Germany)

  • EDS(Emulsion Detonation Synthesis) technology for large scale production of YSZ (yttrium stabilized zirconia) (Innovnano, Portugal)

  • Trends and developments in the field of battery production (VDMA, Germany)

  • Experiences with pressure casting of technical ceramics (ARCI, India)

  • Combination of ceramics and metals for the manufacturing of optimized high performance components in various fields of application (Lapp Insulators Alumina, Germany)

  • Technical ceramics: an overview of materials, properties and applications (CoorsTec, Germany)

  • Introduction of the new research center with fully operational pilot line at Weissenstadt (Sama, Germany)

The sessions were chaired highly competent and dedicated by Karin Scharrer (cfi Germany). Session breaks as well as the joint closing dinner provided plenty of opportunities for information exchange, discussion and networking.

The members of TEAM by Sacmi are proud of a highly successful event. Due to the multiple positive feedback it is intended to organize another TEAM Day in connection with the next Ceramitec fair. Proposals of topics and possible contributions are highly appreciated.
